My intention was to use masking tape, put on the plane, draw, remove, cut and then put back the pieces I needed. It was fairly easy on the wings, stabilizers and fin, but when it came to some of the shapes on the body I had to rely on blue tac and tape.
Once the masking was done I could lay down a cote of dark green.
A while later I removed the tape and blue tac. Not having the blue tac sit too long helps prevent residue being left on the paint.
Next will be to mask for wheel bays and some other areas that should have different colours, and I also need to sort the landing gears, arrestor hook and fuel probe.
