The last week I’ve been busy with a free five day course in jazz with Heidi Krenn. That was both joyful and interesting, and I think I learned a lot. I even tried out a bit of scatting.
Honeysuckle Rose by “Fats” Waller was the song we were working with.
For some reason I came up with the idea of recording the song, and did a quick draft with some basic piano, bass, drums and song. So far it’s just three choruses and one bridge, and no scatting (yet). Here’s what it sounds like so far.
I need to do a better intro, a bit longer, and maybe add some instruments and an ending, if I continue with the recording. What do you think? Continue or scrap?
