With the Warrior done, I decided to start a new build. As Lightning is a cool plane and I wanted to build something better than the old Airfix kit I just finished, I picked out this kit from the stash.
I haven’t fully decided which version I’ll make, but it looks like any of the germany based, or grey and green. I’ll decide later.
Anyway I started as usual with the cockpit.
I painted the cockpit and seat black, and then the cockpit got medium grey.
There are raised details, that would be easy to pick out and there is also the option to use the decals.
By the look of it, the decals doesn’t match the colour I painted, so I still need to decide what to do.
I’ve also painted the intake and exhaust pipes.
I used my chrome pen on the intake fan hub.
That’s it so far. I’ll paint pilot and ejection seat and decide which way to go with the decals.
