I got a few models from an estate, and 2 of them was Halifax bombers in 1/72 from Revell.
I decided to take a look in one of the boxes, just to see what the kit looked like, but to my surprise there was 2 kit boxes inside.
So I did a check on the other box, and it was crammed with sprues, instructions and a folder with pics and decals.
I just hade to take a closer look at the contents in the boxes.

These boxes was found in the first box.

An old Airfix Halifax and a conversion set.
In the other box I found this. A little more normal content.

Some sprues clearly are double but the other fuselage and wings seems to be missing.
So what’s in the Airfix box?

Here it seems the missing parts to other Revell kit is put together with fuselage and wings for the Airfix kit and some other parts that seems to be cast.
In the last box I found this.

My conclusion of what I’ve seen, is that the previous owner had planned to build a civil version of the Halifax.
There are some quite nice cast engines and other parts in white metal.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do with all this. I’ll do a check to see that I have all the parts needed for one kit at least. Then I’ll see what I’ll do with the rest.
Interesting find though! 🙂
