Toyota Prius – part 2

First all chassie parts got some black paint.

Then the interior parts got some light gull grey.

Actually the gull grey ended up a bit thin in some areas. And I need to touch up that.

The instrument panel was masked and painted with RLM 74, and in the pic the seats and panel parts are dry fitted.

The glass seems to fit very well and even have a masking set included.
Those crosses in the roof that fits in the glass might create a bit of a problem if I want to paint the inner roof.

The exhaust pipe was painted aluminium.

Also the brake discs got some paint with Molotov Chrome.

It shows a bit in the pic that I hadn’t done a proper work sanding the discs neatly anough.
I just have to sort that and re-paint.

I’ve checked the body for mould seams, and surprisingly haven’t found any except on the inside, which in my mind is very strange. Never seen that before!

Toyota Prius – Fujumi 1/24- part 1

I bought this kit a while ago, and thought it would be fun to build, and I’ll also participate in a Civvy group build.

I will not do it as on the box cover. So I will omit most of the decals and the emergency light on the roof. Instead I bought real car paint in lime green metallic.
That sure will be interesting to try out.

I’ve started by removing all the parts for the first two steps and also sorting the ejector pin marks on the brake discs with some putty.

Next I’ll clean up the parts and paint most of it black. The discs will be painted with chrome and a few parts in aluminium.
