This kit was started on Christmas 2008, and for some reason ended up on a shelf. It was picked up in turns, were little was done each time. One of the things was removing old masking tape and blue tac and paint was touched up somewhat.
And now finally I’ve taken the time to finish it! Here’s some pics of the finished build!

The underside got black oil wash on the white belly and grey on the dark blue areas.
Here’s how the topside turned out. I also glued an antenna that I’ve nearly forgot.
The antenna got some paint and the fuselage and wings got some chipping. All made by hand with Vallejo alumnium colour.
Which means I now consider it done! Here’s a close up on the cockpit with the canopy open.
I’ve done a few minor touch ups and have taken pics for the final reveal that I’ll put in a separate post.
I’ve glued the landing gears and covers in place.
I then continued with the topside. Removing tape that had been sitting there for years wasn’t fun. I also had to remove the front glass in order to glue the sight parts in place.
The pilot was also seated. Thought it could look nice!
After that I started the weathering process by giving all the panel lines on the topside an oil wash in grey. A tad bit on the tick side for being a wash.
As it’s oil colours it’s quite easy to remove the excess with cotton buds and perhaps some white spirit and paper cloth. I’ll show the result later.
